Explicación del capítulo

Después de estas cosas Juan ve puerta abierta en cielo. Primera voz que oyó, como trompeta, lo llama arriba a ver lo que debe hacerse después. Inmediatamente está en espíritu y ve trono con uno sentado, cuya apariencia es como jaspe y piedra sardina. Arco iris como esmeralda rodea trono. Alrededor hay veinticuatro asientos ocupados por ancianos con vestidos blancos y coronas de oro. Relámpagos, voces y truenos salen del trono; siete lámparas ardientes ante él son siete espíritus de Dios. Ante trono hay algo como mar de vidrio, como cristal.

Cuatro criaturas vivientes están en medio y alrededor del trono, llenas de ojos delante y detrás. Se parecen a león, ternero, rostro humano y águila volando. Cada una tiene seis alas y está llena de ojos alrededor y dentro. Sin descanso día ni noche dicen: Santo, Santo, Santo, Señor Dios Todopoderoso, que era, es y ha de venir.

Cuando criaturas dan gloria, honor y bendición a quien se sienta en trono y vive para siempre, veinticuatro ancianos caen y lo adoran, echando coronas ante trono. Declaran al Señor su Dios digno de gloria, honor y poder porque creó todas las cosas y por su voluntad eran y han sido creadas.

Contexto: Juan ve puerta abierta en cielo tras mensajes precedentes. Lo que está en juego: Voz promete mostrar lo que debe hacerse después. Acción: En espíritu, Juan ve trono, ancianos coronados, siete lámparas, mar como vidrio y cuatro criaturas vivientes.
